Five HKU State Key Laboratories were honoured with plaques by the Ministry of Science and Technology, marking a significant milestone and the promise of further national and international technological advancement.

Twelve HKU scholars have been named among the top 100 global researchers in their respective fields by Research.com in its 2025 rankings. Among them, five professors are ranked first in Asia in their disciplines.
